Something you need to know

We know private health insurance can be confusing. We want to make things clear and easy for you to understand, so we’ve put together some important points for you below.

• If you’re moving to the same or lower level of hospital cover, you usually won’t need to serve any waiting periods. You can also take advantage of our 30-day cooling off period if you change your mind about your cover (as long as you haven’t made a claim with us).
• If you are moving to a higher level of cover you will need to serve the relevant waiting period for any new parts of the cover.

We have applied Lifetime Health Cover loading based on the information you have provided us. If the transfer certificate from your previous health fund shows a different loading, your premium amount will be adjusted.
